ROAR (Reach Out, Achieve Results)

Energy and excitement filled the room during Dianna Kokoszka’s annual ROAR (Reach Out, Achieve Results) session at Family Reunion. The minute Dianna took the stage, there was an uproar of applause. She started, in typical Dianna fashion, with a Power Up. “Okay everybody, say it with me now. I do … do you?” The audience repeated back, “I do … do you?” And then we were off!

Success Is Simple, Not Easy

There are three ways to acquire wealth. You can be born into it, you can marry into it, or you can earn it. Unlike wealth, you must earn success. Success is up to you. Dianna shared her view on success and successful people. “Success is an inside job,” she said. “Successful people think differently.” It is not about what successful people do, it is about how they think. If you want to become a leader, study the characteristics of other leaders. Make sure to surround yourself with people you want to be like. Remember, success is simple, not easy.

Opportunity Seekers, Takers and Makers

The dictionary definition of opportunity is a set of circumstances that make it possible to do something. In Dianna’s words, every day is full of opportunity, and yet, an opportunity is only full of so many days. People miss out on opportunities every day: they don’t see them, aren’t prepared for them or are fearful of them. Don’t miss out on your next opportunity – seize it! Ask yourself, are you an opportunity seeker, an opportunity taker or an opportunity maker? Decide today which one you’re going to be.

Mo Anderson, vice chairman of the board of Keller Williams Realty, and Kay Evans, co-owner of the Southeast Region, joined Dianna on stage for a quick interview. Dianna turned to Mo and asked, “What do you consider the most significant opportunity you’ve been given and what have you gained from it?”

Mo Anderson: Keller Williams. What have I gained from it? God, family and business. The opportunity of Keller Williams has not only let our light shine on a local level, but has allowed us to have a worldwide opportunity to influence culture and people.

Dianna then asked both Mo and Kay to share their words of wisdom on taking opportunities in life.

Kay Evans: Wherever you are, it doesn’t matter where you are, in any position that you have, do it so well that people will take a look at you and want to be in business with you. One of the weaknesses I’ve seen is that people get too in a hurry for their next opportunity. Be prepared to take a risk, because rewards are tied to risk. To quote Megyn Kelly, “Be so good they can’t ignore you.”

Mo Anderson: When you are looking at an opportunity, ask Him about it. When it isn’t ordained, it won’t work. Seek wisdom and advice from people you trust. Look at every opportunity as a possible treasure.

Decide whether you are an opportunity seeker, opportunity taker or opportunity maker and think big!

Your next opportunity is right around the corner.
